The first series of interesting cult stones for interior decoration and garden art comes from the concrete works in Langå and the artist Lars Bo Nielsen in cooperation with designer, Sisse Degner.

Lars Bo Nielsen is primarily known for his work restoring and recreating the Tollund Man. The idea to preserve and spread our great national treasure of past images has arisen through the work with Sisse Degner.

On work and material selection Lars Bo Nielsen says:
“The material facilitates a unique production where the recreation or copying of each hand-crafted stone is not possible. The stones appear with the same shape and motif, however, the surface, colour play and finished expression is a unique piece of handicraft.”

“In a world, where a large number of stories are communicated through the media, one wonders when human beings will put themselves in the role of the narrator. The stories of the various cult stones will give the new owner significant knowledge on Danish cultural inheritance and a role as “history’s ambassador”.

The cooperation has been an educational challenge to the concrete works in Langå and has contributed to a thorough insight into the combination of materials and colours.

Lars Bo Nielsen puts it like this:
“The material is stone in volcanic eruptions that has not yet found its correct shape.”
