Denmark’s sole collected finding of three stones depicting the same rock engravings from the Bronze Age comes from Mandbjerghøj near Øster Velling.
This stone has been one of the foot circle stones surrounding a central grave containing an oak coffin.
The grave also contained a sword from the Bronze Age and a gold-plated belt-hook that dates back to the Bronze Age.
The pattern on the sword is completely identical to the stone carvings so they have most likely had some kind of significance – perhaps a mark – to the person buried in the mound.
Today, the mark is used as a logo by the local museum in Langå.
